    Product Description:

The Discovery series offer traditional design, superior sound, a solid construction, and a wide range of variants. Combining these elements - plus a wealth of technical features and finesses - it gives our customers the possibility of acquiring a tailor-made Scan-Speak solution with very good performance at a reasonable low price point!

    Possible box alignments:

0.05 to 0.1 cubic foot (1.5 to 3 liters) sealed for 3dB down of 125Hz
0.1 cubic foot (3 liters) with 1" vent by 4.5" long for 3dB down of 80Hz

The 12W/8524G has the same frame size and should be considered as a good replacement for the PL11WH09-08 or PL11WG09-08.

A customer has recommended the 12W/8524G as a replacement midrange in the Thiel CS3.5 speaker.  The original is a Scan-Speak 13M/8521 (no longer available).  He said it fit well and sounds great.  See notes below.

    The 13M is 130mm and the 12W is 124.7mm.

The 13M cut out is 103mm and the 12W is 100mm.  I'm not sure of the actual hole diameter in the cabinet.

The 13M has 3 screws at a diameter of 120mm and the 12W has 4 screws at 113mm.

You will need to use new screw holes.  The old speaker was notched for the tweeter, perhaps it isn't needed for this smaller frame speaker.  I don't have one to compare it.
